Home Grown

I think this is my favorite layout Shannon did for her Scrappin Sports and More CHA papers... These pictures are painted vegetables and stuff - I think at her local Fair. My kids would go CRAZY over something as cool as this!
This layout has more 1 Creative Bug custom stuff--- see the barbed wire? Cute isn't it. Shannon dreams it and I create it - what a team!

Stickles - I just can't say enough!

You HAVE to get some of these - if you are a local 1 Creative Bug customer I have them every month at my crops- if you are "out there" check your local scrap store
- or email me and I'll help ya!
But, seriously - if you have not tried them - Please make it a point to! Shannon used Stickles on the 1 Creative Bug "mouse ears" - it gives them just the right POP.

Shannon Rocks!

Shannon has been getting Scrappy... this week all the projects are hers. How cool is that???

First up we have another altered item. Shannon is so good at decorating "stuff".

Any project that uses stickles is top in my book... but I also just think it is fun to have unique handmade frames that help tell the story behind the picture.

We're here bloggin - hoping to inspire you to be creative bugs too!

Worth Repeating...

When you create a 2 page layout - do you create a different look for the
left and right pages? Sometimes I do... but sometimes I prefer to keep it the same and repeat the same layout in reverse like I did on the layout above.
Repeating the same layout makes my scrapping go faster, but still lookin' good!

Girly Girls

Even the older cousins got into the spirit of fairys, fun and dress up at the Fairy Party held in July of 2008. One of my lovely Nieces wanted (for no reason) to throw a party at her house... her mom was happy to oblidge, and the Fairy Party began.
This simple layout was fun to create - I used stuff from my stash, and nothing unique to 1 Creative Bug, but it's not always about that. It's about preserving memories and being able to recall the cherished moments together.

New Year - New KITS!

It's a new year blog fans! (just in case you've been off the planet for a few weeks, ha ha.)
With the new year, comes new kits and NEW PRICING!
The new line is called Quick Kits - it all started because I made a new year's resolution for you. I'm sure you made your own, but I figured I'd make one for you as well.
My New Year's Resolution is this: We are going to get some scrapping done!
To help you with this awesome (if I do say so myself) goal, I will be designing a series of quick kits. They are simple, fun and designed to get the job done. Best of all the Kits will all be priced at $7.00 or less... you can't beat that!
Kits are made as limited editions so when they are gone, they are GONE... if you would like to get your hands on the first Quick Kit "New Year" - send me an email to order.
The kit contains the year die cut for 2008, 2009 and 2010 - if you need a special year, just let me know and I will create i for you at no charge!
Good luck with that Resolution!!!

Clear Cover Fun

I had the pleasure of spending a scrappy weekend with my good friend Ana...we just scrapped here at my house, but we got alot done (even with the swarm of bugs underfoot!).
This is the front view of a mini album she created for an upcoming class.

As you can see below, the covers are clear, letting you peek underneath.

The paper and embellishments are all from stampin' up...including the adorable NEW bird punch. I even used the bird punch (GASP!).
When you spot the layout this week using the bird, leave a comment for a chance to win an RAK from 1 Creative Bug!

Good Friend + Scrappy Time = GREAT WEEKEND!

Kids in the Kitchen...

If the kids in your life are anything like the kids in my life - they love to help in the kitchen!
Here in my house we have a "kid of the day" everyday except Sunday. (Each bug gets 2 turns a week as KOTD) Part of their privledges is to get to help cook... it's not a chore, but an honor to help in the kitchen.
In this layout 1 Creative Bug Designer Shannon Blinn highlights her little chef and his french toast masterpieces...
speaking of masterpieces - how about the custom french toast paper piecing created by you-know-who!
How about making a resolution this year to cook with kids- and scrap it!

It's a New year - time for some new ideas!!!!

Are you tired of the same old layouts??

Have some fun with a scrapper you admire and trade photos!

These two layouts I created for my friend Shannon - it was an honor and a privilege to scrap her photos.

Of course I custom created the paper piecings...
