January Layout Class

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

2013 brings some changes to 1 Creative Bug Classes... please take a minute to review the following information:

Happy New Year! --- I want to begin with a HUGE thank you to each of you for your continued support of 1 Creative Bug... your business is very appreciated.

2013 welcomes a few changes to our classes. First, we are holding 3 different classes each month. Layout, Project (in the home of Julie C.) as well as a separate card class (in the home of Soozie P.) Keeping each class separate will allow me the opportunity to better serve you, giving individualized custom assistance for each class. 

Next, Class size is limited, and this is a policy I will have to enforce, even though I HATE to say no to anyone. Your RSVP assures your spot - when I am full, I am full. Again - this is designed so I can better assist all class participants on a more personal level without spreading myself to thin. I can only accept class reservations through evite - it provides me with a count, and a time stamp, as well as closing the class when it is full. Thank you in advance for understanding this change. Evite is a free service, and helps me keep the cost of classes down for everyone.

Lastly, if you have to cancel - I can only provide a refund IF i am able to fill your spot. It is my desire to keep classes affordable for everyone and this policy will help insure that.

Funky Flakes or Flutterby Friends

Join us as we use 4 different patterned papers to make a bold layout.

When: Tuesday January 8, 2013 - 6:30 PM

Where: The Happy Hive - Home of Julie C

Cost: $12.00 payable at class

What to Bring:

12" trimmer
scissors
adhesive (glue dots, double sided tape or equivalent, and 3d foam dots or squares)*

I will provide:
Layout kit paper and embellishments as shown
green glitter glue for flutterby layout
Burnt Sienna chalk ink

* adhesive will be on the 'cash and carry' table if you need to replenish your supply.

Versatile Vellum Class

I'm busy, you're busy - we are all busy! It's that time of year.... take some time to sit and enjoy a class with 1 Creative Bug... our first class of the year will be on Tuesday January 3, 2012 - GASP- yest THIS TUESDAY.

We will be exploring the Versatile world of Vellum - an oldie but a goodie in the scrapbooking and cardmaking world. You have your choice of three layouts... seating is limited so if you are at all interested, please email me to register.

Be sure to download the class handouts : Vellum Class Handouts   even if you can't attend because of scheduling conflicts or if you live out of town, these handouts are PACKED with great ideas for using vellum.


February's class is : Fabric, Felt and Foam...stay tuned for more information on that!

Our November class is going to be JAM PACKED - along with one of these layout choices - we are going to make a cute chipboard mini album.

Chipboard is so easy to work with !!! If this is your first introduction to chipboard - or perhaps this will be a review for you - NO MATTER.. this class is FUN!

October Class - Don't Stress, Distress

The distressed look is so easy - and FUN!!!

September Class- Title Techniques

Next to the pictures, the title can be the most important element on your pages. Coming up with clever titles is as easy as a quick internet search or thumbing through the pages of my favorite title idea book...

If you don't have this book and want it - Let me know... I sell them on a pre-order basis for $20.00... you can check out my copy anytime, but it is more convienient to have your own!

Anyway, this class is not about coming up with great titles - it's how to make those titles LOOK great and where to put them on your layouts besides the time tested top of the page...

This month we have 2 choices - you can complete the Layout Class OR the Titles Only Class...

The layout Class will be creating this adorable layout: SUMMERTIME

I don't want to confuse anyone -- but I know I have some who prefer layouts with NO flowers... so I have 4 kits, and only 4 kits that have ribbon knots instead of flowers (See picture below). The kit is exactly the same ( SUMMERTIME) except for the ribbons... If you want this special kit - please make sure to let me know ASAP...

The second class option - we will create many titles together... a sampling is pictured below...this is called the TITLES ONLY option.

Putting this class together was so much fun and I am very excited to share the information with you!

Panorama Pages - Because sometimes 2 pages just isn't enough!

Howdy scrappers... Christy Here with the information for our August Scrapbooking Class: Panorama Pages.

This class will have 6 different monochromatic color choices

PURPLES

BLUES

BROWNS

GREENS

BLACK/GREY

PINKS

Each kit will have PLENTY of cardstock and the basics for making the panorama pages as well as some die cuts and embellishments... this month the layout is all YOU!

After we learn how to make the panorama pages, we'll go over some bacic design concepts such as the rule of threes and visual triangle - then you can apply what you have learned and design some awesome pages!!!

Please bring to class:

Trimmer with a blade and your scoring blade.

If you don't have a scoring blade bring your dry embossing tool (looks something like this:)

You will also need red-line or other strong double sided tape

Tape runner, glue dots, etc.

If you have not attended a class before and would like to - your first class is FREE.

Returning scrappers you can prepay with the button below before

Friday, July 29, 2011 - and be sure to indicate your color choice.
